How many guests can Exmoor Farmhouse accommodate?

Exmoor Farmhouse can accommodate up to 14 guests in beds, plus infants in cots.

How many bedrooms are at Exmoor Farmhouse?

There are seven bedrooms at Exmoor Farmhouse, which are located on the first floor of the house, these include six doubles, one twin.

How many bathrooms are at Exmoor Farmhouse?

There are four bathrooms at Exmoor Farmhouse located on the first floor, these include three family bathrooms, two with baths and one with a walk-in shower, and the Master Bedroom en-suite, which has a roll top bath and a separate walk-in shower. There is also a handy ground floor cloakroom.

Is the house dog-friendly?

Yes, the house is dog-friendly, although we do ask that dogs are kept downstairs and off the furniture. Please also, note the garden is not fully fenced and the fields surrounding the house are used for various livestock, including sheep and horses.

How much do you charge for dogs?

Dogs are charged at £30 each.

Is the house child-friendly?

Although children are welcome, we do say that the house is not suitable for infants due to the nature of the house and its contents. The garden is also not fully fenced.

Are you able to do anything special for celebrations?

We are sorry, but we are not able to offer any packages for celebrations.

Is catering available?

It is fairly difficult to find local caters, however, you can order food in advance from the Dulverton Food Shop or similar.

What grounds are available to guests staying at Exmoor Farmhouse?

You are welcome to explore the grounds; however, you should avoid approaching the horses or sheep, and dogs should be kept on a lead and under-control and all times.

Is the garden secure?

No, the garden is not fenced fully, so children and dogs should always be supervised.

What stabling/turnout is available?

We are able to provide stabling for two horses depending on the time of the year. Further horses may also be welcome on an individual basis. During certain times of the year, stabling may only be available for emergencies.

Turnout is available all year round for horses and at least two fields will be free for guests to use for their horses.

Please note all horses must have up to date vaccinations and a disclaimer signed prior to arrival.

What is the charge for stabling/turnout?

Stabling is charged at £20 per horse per day. Turnout or grass keep is charged at £10 per day per horse.

What basic provisions are provided?

Basic provisions such as milk, tea, coffee and bread will be available on arrival.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes, bed linen (not cot) and towels are provided.

Is a travel cot available?

No, the house is not suitable for infants.

Is a high chair available?

No, the house is not suitable for infants.

Are there any stairgates?

No, the house is not suitable for infants.

What is in the games room?

In the games room, you will find table tennis and table football.

What is your Christmas policy?

The house will not be decorated for Christmas, so guests should bring their own.

What is the security deposit and what is it for?

There is a £1,000 security deposit required at the time of booking, this is to cover any damages that occur during your stay. All being well, this is returned to you within seven working days of your departure.

How do we book?

To secure a booking we require a 30% deposit with the outstanding balance due eight weeks prior to arrival. A 2% booking fee is also applied at the time of booking. Bookings can be made online via our availability calendar, by email, or by calling 01271 377 432.
